On May 11, Adah Sharma celebrated her 31st birthday by visiting the temple and making offerings. She thanked her fans for their support in the successful making of her film The Kerala Story and revealed that the visit contained the “secret” of her powers despite calls to ban the screening of films in some places. Birthday wishes and compliments for her acting in the movie were sent by her followers on Instagram. Adah had earlier announced “The Key to My Energy” on Instagram, stating that it was the strength that allowed her to receive gifts and endure punishment. She thanked everyone for putting her under their protection with hashtags #shivtandav #shivtandavstrotam. In a video she shared, the actor is seen wearing a yellow and white kurta salwar while sitting on the ground near lingams muttering prayers.
After her performance in Kerala Story, Adah received a lot of praise in the comments section. Directed by Sudipto Sen, The Story of Kerala premiered on May 5 and stars Yogita Bihani, Siddhi Idnani and Sonia Balani alongside Adah Sharma. After six days, the film earned ₹68.86 crores at the domestic box office. On Wednesday, Adah met with Uttar Pradesh Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow accompanied by directors Sudipto and Vipul Amrutlal Shah as the state declared the film tax-free.
Adah made her debut in Vikram Bhatt’s 1920 film in 2009 and has also worked in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada cinema besides appearing in Hasee Toh Phasee, Commando 2, and Commando 3. She made a guest appearance in Akshay Kumar’s film Selfiee earlier this year before appearing in The Story of Kerala.
