On the evening of January 27, 2020, ABC News documented that 11-year-old Gannon Stauch was reported missing from his Colorado Springs home by none other than his stepmother, Letecia Stauch. About two months later, Letecia was arrested and charged with his murder. Fast forward to April 2023, Letecia’s trial has begun and was expected to last six to eight weeks. On February 1, 2020, she said that he was helping her sister move all of her belongings to the Budget van Letecia that she had rented when she noticed that she was struggling to carry one of her suitcases. Later, on March 20, 2020, when Gannon’s body was found in a coffin under a bridge near the hotel, Dakota confirmed that it was the same coffin he had seen Letecia struggling to carry in early February.
Before Dakota could even begin to say all this in court, Tuesday morning she began sobbing and yelling “Why Tecia?” This caused a brief pause as the jury was escorted out of the courtroom to give them time to collect themselves.
The day before, Dakota’s niece/Letecia’s daughter, Harley Hunt, testified in her mother’s murder trial. And she testified against her.
Where is Dakota Lowry now?
Now it looks like Dakota Lowry is back to her normal life.
On the other hand, his sister, while at the bar, continued to plead not guilty by reason of insanity. Meanwhile, her then-husband Al Stauch, father of Gannon’s late husband, separated from her in March 2020.
