The case of Morgan Nick Kindapping
On June 9, 1995, at 10:45 pm, an unidentified man took Morgan Nick from a minor league baseball game in Alma, Arkansas. He joined some friends to catch lightning while he watched the game with his mother. As she stopped to wipe the sand off her shoes, Morgan was last seen near her mother’s car.
“I remember standing outside the firehouse on the fourth day and someone said, ‘It’s only been four days,’ thinking that helped,” Morgan’s mother, Colleen Nick, said in 2008.
Witnesses saw a man watching Morgan as he played with other children in the park. An eyewitness also saw a red Ford pickup with a white camper parked nearby that disappeared at the same time as Morgan. The camper was reportedly four to five inches too short for the truck, which has a small tire base and old paint and may have damage to the right rear side. The truck’s license plates are believed to be from Arkansas.
The man is described as white, 6 feet tall, of a medium to stocky build, with a mustache and an inch beard. It is estimated that he was between the ages of 23 and 38 at the time.
“Children, and when I say children they could be teenagers, they could be younger children who were approached by a man in a red pickup truck with a white RV. We think someone knows who was on the playground that night and who was driving the red truck with the white trailer, Alma Police Chief Jeff Pointer said.
Morgan was around 4 feet tall, weighed around 55 pounds, and had blonde hair and blue eyes at the time of her disappearance. Morgan’s teeth were covered with five different silver crowns. When she was last seen, she was wearing a green Girl Scout t-shirt, blue jean shorts, and white sneakers. Thousands of leads have been followed up after extensive investigation, however there are still no conclusive leads as to where Morgan Nick or her captor may be.
Authorities followed leads, gathered information, searched homes and shared photos of Morgan as she aged. The FBI and local communities have offered a $60,000 reward for the safe return of Morgan Chauntel Nick, as well as for the identity, capture, and conviction of the person or persons who abducted her.
FBI agents publicly identified Billy Jack Lincks as a person of interest in the November 2021 investigation and asked for the public’s help in learning more about him. After attempting to kidnap the boy two months after Morgan Nick’s disappearance, Lincks was found guilty of sexual indecency.
The girl told police the man sexually wooed her, offered her cash and offered to pay her to get in his truck and drive him home. Police were called when the girl ran away. A warrant for Lincks’ arrest was issued the next day after a witness told police about the Arkansas license plate.
Investigators from multiple law enforcement agencies investigated a red 1986 Chevrolet Scottsdale pickup truck and found evidence inside. Blood was found on part of the seat inside the truck, according to the crime lab. Hair samples were also found among the various items investigators found. Lab workers found that there was not enough DNA data in the blood and blonde hair to make a sure match.
According to a recent documentary, law enforcement authorities also discovered blue-green cotton fibers on the metal parts of the van and under the seat cushions. FBI microscopy experts were able to match the fiber to a Girl Scout T-shirt similar to the one Morgan was wearing when he disappeared.
Billy Jack Lincks was born and raised in Crawford County, Arkansas. During the years between 1962 and 1974, he worked at Braniff Airlines in Dallas after serving in the Army during World War II. Sometime in the late 1970s, Lincks returned to Van Buren. He died in prison in 2000 at the age of seventy-six.
Morgan Nick was abducted in Alma, which is about 10 minutes up the interstate from Van Buren.
“Whether through school, work, church or any social activity, we need information about Lincks and details about his entire life,” the press release reads. “Remember, every piece of information about Lincks’ life is important, no detail is too small or insignificant.”

The story continues from there in the Hulu documentary series. The red van owned by Billy was impounded by the police. They examined it and kept it for a long time. He recently went to an auction. When the police found it, they searched the car again. Blood was discovered on the dashboard and they also discovered blonde hair under the floor covering. They also discovered blue-green cotton fibers on the metal parts of the van and under the seats in the carpet.
Federal crime labs received the items. Lab workers found that there was not enough DNA data in the blood and blonde hair to make a sure match. At the microscopic level, they were able to connect the fiber to a Girl Scout T-shirt similar to the one Morgan was wearing when she was abducted.
In April 2021. Morgan is still missing, a documentary about his case, aired in Arkansas. It was created in an effort to generate new leads. It contained data and movies that had never been available to the general public before.
The Alma Police Department received more than 300 leads as a result of the documentary, some of which were highly compelling and have never been made public. The documentary and the leads, according to Colleen, gave her hope that Morgan would be located. To give the case more publicity, there are also possible plans to broadcast the documentary nationally.

Is Morgan Nick dead or alive?
It is unclear if Morgan Nick is dead or alive.
Police were notified that Morgan was buried on property near Booneville, Arkansas in January 2002. They dug up the ground for several hours and set a police dog on the hunt. But there was no sign of her anywhere. Convicted felons Tonya Smith and James Monhart were arrested in June 2012 for computer fraud after trying to impersonate her.
Morgan’s birth certificate was among the important personal documents that Tonya allegedly tried to obtain. The police, however, do not believe that she is responsible for his disappearance. On December 18, 2017, police received a tip about Morgan’s case, which led them to a property in Spiro, Oklahoma, 25 miles from Alma.
Local police, the FBI, and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation were involved. A well at the site was the focus of the investigation when it was pointed out by a cadaver dog. However, despite hours of digging and searching, nothing was discovered.
It is interesting to mention that the same house was already searched by the police in 2010 in connection with the Morgan case. It was said to belong to a man who has since been attacked. He is currently in jail on unrelated charges, but he doesn’t want to talk about this case.
