Robyn Griggs left her loving husband Mark Wiley behind when she died on August 13, 2022. The couple married on July 4, 2013. The couple’s wedding website is still active. Mark Wiley is a PGA professional with over 27 years of experience in the golf industry. He has been the head golf pro at Flagstaff Ranch Golf Club in Arizona since March 2021. Mark stated in his Flagstaff Ranch biography that his parents inspired and encouraged him to play golf.
Golf was a part of Mark’s life during high school, but it always took a backseat to baseball. It was baseball that gave Mark his first taste of Arizona when he came to the University of Arizona to play for coach Jerry Kendall. Injuries cut that part of the journey short and it was thought that a career in pharmacy would be next, but after 3 years in Pharmacy School he knew that was not what he wanted. Then golf came back on the scene and the rest is history.
Additionally, Mark’s golf career began in 1994 as a golf assistant at Tanglewood Manor Golf Club, the golf course where he grew up as a child. Until 2001, he was a PGA Class A member and professional director of golf at Meadia Heights Golf Club in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
From 2004 to 2009 Mark was the Head Golf Pro at Bon Air Country Club and from 2009 to 2013 at Meadia Heights Country Club.
In 2005, Mark was honored by being named Professional Golfer of the Year by the PGA of Philadelphia, Central Counties Chapter.
