When they first met, Brayden was charmed by Kiki, and after a series of smart moves, he gained her trust and perhaps the possibility of a new relationship. Kiki questioned the intern for not checking the files in episode 2. The intern was supposed to apologize and finish the assignment, but instead called Kiki “Omarosa”, emphasizing her prejudice and making fun of her.
As a means of retaliation, Brayden framed the intern by placing provocative material on his computer that contained pro-alt-right speech along with various items corroborating the findings. Brayden immediately came to Kiki’s defense. As a result, the intern was immediately fired.
They shared a personal and secret moment to celebrate the firing of the intern after Brayden told Kiki that he was responsible for the event. So it’s safe to say that Brayden was rewarded for standing up for what’s right while also finding a potential new girlfriend.
