“The treatment will continue for a long time for me, hospital visits are normal and I am focusing on one step at a time,” he wrote. “I feel very lucky to receive private treatment. The nurses and doctors are amazing and I wouldn’t be here without them.”
On January 27, 2023, Ben took to his IG to share how proud he was of her. He wrote: “So incredibly proud of you @leannehainsby 💙 It’s fair to say the last year has been cruel for both of us. Tragically losing Danielle so suddenly and then directly being diagnosed with breast cancer. It was a rollercoaster of emotions to say the least, I was terrified of the worst, but I tried to keep as much normality as possible away from hospital appointments to keep hope and do everything I could to help us maintain our roles as instructors and Peloton partners. , friends, son/daughter, brother/sister and aunt/uncle.”
He added: “You have been an absolute inspiration to all of us and have taken each step of this journey so far in stride, with such grace and with your head held high. Countless hospital appointments for IVF treatments, chemotherapy, exams, scans and injections – every second of the journey made me proud to be by your side, and you showed me ten times over why I am so unbelievably lucky that you agreed to marry me.”
Ben concluded: “We’re certainly not out of the woods yet, but we’ve certainly said F you cancer countless times with the actions we’ve taken in the last 6 months. Here you are, as one might say, to the bright days ahead and to living our healthiest and happiest lives using the countless lessons you have taught us this past year.
