Jazmin Blais is the wife of the famous chef Richard Blais. The happily married couple exchanged wedding vows on April 8, 2006. According to Richard’s IG post from their 2022 wedding anniversary, he proposed to his wife in 2005 after running 10K in The Peachtree Road Race.
Jazmin and Richard met when she was finishing her graduate studies. She applied for a job as a waitress at the restaurant where Richard was working as a chef at the time.

But balancing work life and a relationship has been challenging for the couple, Jazmin says. She believes that a relationship is a garden that needs tending. She told the blog: “We are constantly finding success, new ways to work together, communicate and grow together.” Life has changed a lot since we met, be it marriage, children or television shows; we had to constantly evolve and communicate to continue to be successful.”
Finally, she also opened up about the best part of being married to a restaurateur. And the answer is simple “food”.
In 2015, on their ninth wedding anniversary, Richard wished his wife: “Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would wish @Blaisphemy a happy 9th wedding anniversary on Twitter…” Similarly, on the Day On Valentine’s Day 2022, Richard wished his wife: “I always feel like we’re the Avengers on top of the mountain @jazminblais Happy Valentine’s Day!”
Jazmin wished her famous husband a happy birthday in February 2022. She wrote: “HAPPY BIRTHDAY @richardblais! I can’t wait to celebrate with you all day today! Feel free to give her some birthday love in the comments.”
While Jazmin has a lot to be thankful for when it comes to her husband, Richard also has a lot to be thankful for with his wife. Besides giving her a beautiful family, another important thing is her health. The chef credited his wife with helping him lose 60 kilograms of weight.
“I had to get this beautiful girl. I was a chubby guy and I literally had to run after this girl,” Richard added. “She was running two miles, I was dragging the wind behind her, but I finally caught up with her. [up to] her and I proposed to her at the end of my first race, a 10K race… And we are still together”.
