Allegations by former MTV star Connor Smith
A warrant has been issued against MTV star Connor Smith for allegedly attempting to have sex with a girl under the age of 15.
According to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Connor had been communicating online with an undercover officer posing as a minor for “several weeks.” After sending explicit videos and photos of himself, on February 9, 2023, he drove to meet a minor with the intent to have sex.
He was arrested by detectives at a previously planned location. However, before they could stop him, the star escaped in his vehicle.
So, Connor now faces three felony charges: traveling to meet with a minor, preparing and distributing harmful material.
As of February 17, Connor hasn’t given up yet. But a judge had already signed a $1 million bond after his arrest.
The news also comes 14 months after the former MTV star was arrested for allegedly beating and raping a 16-year-old girl. In December 2021, Connor was charged with one count of rape and sexual assault and two counts of criminal restraint in Cook County, Illinois.
The unidentified girl claims she was abducted from her bedroom in July after visiting relatives in Indiana. She allegedly exchanged Snapchat information with someone who was selling the cat and gave them the address where she was staying.
Later that night, Connor “opened her bedroom window, dragged her out of the room, put her in his truck, and drove to the motel while sexually assaulting her.”
However, she later changed her story, admitting that she had met the alleged assailant on a dating app and voluntarily ran away to meet him. However, once in her truck, she was forced to perform oral sex on him while he drove them to a motel. She claimed that he “repeatedly slapped and choked her, urinated on her in a motel room, and again forced her to perform oral sex on him.”
The prosecutor also added that the man took her home and said he would return the next day. But her family members were waiting on the front lawn and she shooed him away as soon as she reappeared.
