Michelle Heaton is currently married to her husband Hugh Hanley. They reportedly met after Michelle’s marriage to her ex-husband Andy Scott-Lee ended in June 2008 after they tied the knot in October 2006. The couple dated and eventually tied the knot on July 19, 2010. .

Hugh also opened up about his wife’s struggle with alcoholism. Speaking to Lorraine during the interview, he explained: “The last three or four years have been extremely difficult knowing that Michelle was there, but her addictions were tearing her apart.”
Hugh added: “There were many times where I could have left, it would have been easier. There is no escape, life with an addict is extremely difficult. We have a second chance.”
A couple of them spoke to ALRIGHT! where they talked about how they coped when things got tough for Michelle. Hugh said her marriage is “a bit” better now, adding that it is now much more fun, “easy and stress-free.” Michelle claimed that things had picked up since she believed that having fun was the key to a successful marriage, but the past few years have been anything but.
Michelle said: “I guess in my mind, fun was the answer to marriage and my idea of fun hasn’t been fun in recent years. So Hugh is absolutely thrilled that he’s going to bed early with me, because now I want to go to bed early! A part of me used to be afraid to go to sleep because I was afraid to wake up, but I’m not anymore.”
She said that at first he was “full of resentment” so it was hard because it was hard for him. But Hugh said that he managed to stay strong because he knew that Michelle wasn’t in her right mind about him.
