The alleged victim, Jennifer Stampfel, filed a lawsuit in June 2015 alleging that Toney “drugged her, raped her twice, stole her virginity, gave her an STD, impregnated her, and threatened to kill her.” She said Toney, whom she met when she visited the animal shelter, asked her out for drinks a few months later, in June.
At the bar, Toney handed Stampfel a glass of Coca-Cola that she remembers tasting and then “she started to feel weird, dizzy and like she was losing control of her motor skills.”
Toney then took her back to the house on Franklin Avenue and assaulted her. The next morning, Toney also allegedly joked that she had spiked her drink and warned her not to tell anyone what happened.
So, knowing that she had been raped, the victim went to the doctor, got the results, and decided to confront Converse. However, when she first met Converse, she says he threatened her, pushed her, and then forced her to have oral sex with him.
