Mete Kobal met Randy Feloni in 2021. That year, Randy lost his partner of 8 years, Michael Landry, and was completely devastated.
Fortunately, the arrival of Mete in the life of the star saved him from a lot of pain. No wonder, even before they could celebrate their first anniversary, Randy bent Mateo’s knee. “YES! Also, in an interview with People, the star revealed that he is “so in love and giddy every day” for his partner. “It’s nothing like what I thought a relationship was like and nothing like what I’ve had in the past. It’s amazing,” he added.
The proposal took place at the Marmara Park Avenue Hotel -the place where they had their first date- in New York, surrounded by 50 of their closest friends and family. According to event planner Marcy Blum, who helped with the elaborate proposal, Randy wanted “over the top” and “exuberant” décor. He then knelt down surrounded by pink roses and candles while wearing a matching tuxedo with Mateo.
Marcy further added: “He really wanted to surprise Mete with a beautiful moment that he will always remember. Randy and I have been friends forever and I am beyond excited to create his perfect proposal.”
As for their wedding plans, Randy was referring to Princess Cruise Lines, which had a cruise that went to Greece and Italy and then ended in Istanbul. So, whether in Italy or on a ship, the two will exchange their vows. “Then we will arrive in Istanbul. We can go ashore and host a reception for all your friends there and your family,” he added.
In case you’re wondering about Randy’s previous partner, Michael Landry was a “talented artist, music enthusiast, genuinely funny storyteller, luxury goods connoisseur, hard worker, and respected worker.” His most recent job was as Operations Manager/Coordinator at Chanel Boutique in SoHo. He worked there from December 2018 to October 2019.
