Mehreen Karim in the next level of cooking
Fox continued to air Season 2 of Next Level Chef, which debuted on February 12, 2023. The show is a one-of-a-kind epic cooking competition with an exclusive venue for contestants. The Next Level Set Chef is located in a structure with more than three floors and a significantly different kitchen on each floor than the last.
The chefs, led by celebrity chefs Gordon Ramsay, Nyesha Arrington and Richard Blais, must work to create culinary magic regardless of the conditions in the kitchen, from the harsh back of the basement to the luxurious upstairs. Top home cooks, social media chefs and professional chefs joined the cast and were divided into three separate teams after Ramsay and his commentators hand-picked them after touring the nation.
The stakes are high for the competing chefs with a year of mentoring and $250,000 up for grabs.
Mehreen Karim is one of the 18 contestants this season. She currently works as a cook at home. But, after two episodes, she is still safe. The contestant who was sent home in the second episode of the second season was Alex Morizio from Brooklyn, New York. The first contestant to be eliminated was Kamahlai Stewart.
Mehreen Karim’s Career
Mehreen Karim is a recipe developer, writer, editor and photographer. She led the development of digital recipes, wrote cooking stories, and developed recipes for Bon Appétit. She has been working at Bon Appetit as a Digital Recipe Production Assistant since April 2021. In addition, she is also a Communications Assistant for NYU Work Life since February 2019.
According to her LinkedIn, Mehreen began her career at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as an STD research intern. In 2015 Mehreen worked at AIESEC as an account manager.
In addition, she worked at the Center for American Progress as a women’s health intern. From May 2016 to July 2016, Mehreen worked at the Feminist Women’s Health Center (Atlanta) as a grassroots organizer intern. Additionally, from 2016 to 2018, Mehreen worked at HEART Women and Girls as a women’s health educator.
Mehreen’s LinkedIn also lists her work at the International Coalition for Women’s Health as a communications associate and at the NETWORK Lobby for Catholic Social Justice as a digital communications specialist.
Among her friends, she is known as Reenie. The famed reality star earned a bachelor’s degree in international relations and business from the University of Georgia in 2017 and completed a master’s degree in Global Public Health from New York University in 2020, according to LinkedIn.
Is Mehreen Karim married?
Yes she is. Mehreen Karim is married to her husband Rais Ahmed. They accepted each other as husband and wife on August 24, 2019.
The couple got engaged in July 2019. On their first engagement anniversary, Rais posted on his IG, “A year ago I proposed to this perfect loser. It was our perfect moment: surrounded by friends, family, and a bunch of random strangers. I’m glad I can continue to make you smile and laugh like I do now on a daily basis. Even if you’re just being nice and pretending to laugh at my jokes.”
On New Years 2022, Mehreen spoke about the best 10 minutes of 2021. She wrote: “best ten minutes of 2021 an hour before our wedding, Rais and I exchanged vows, a custom neither of us had seen at weddings. from South Asia. I think those ten minutes of sharing our vows and intentions for the rest of our marriage changed not only the rest of our wedding day, but the rest of my year, and most likely the rest of my life.”
He concluded, “those ten minutes evoked an infinite variety of emotions across the spectrum of life: feelings of joy, fear, resilience, steadfastness, anxiety, and hope. so much hope and so many dreams. all within the best ten minutes of my best day of the year.”
The couple began dating in mid-2017. On their 6-month anniversary in February 2018, Mehreen posted: “Here’s to 6 months of learning and loving each other for who we are – lactose intolerant.”
In April 2022, Mehreen wished her husband “the happiest of birthdays. 💗 We are all very happy to be here, we love you.
The couple have no children at the time of writing.
About her husband, Rais turned 29 in April 2022. He is a digital designer by profession.
