Rael Braverman met the love of his life, Suella Braverman, in 2015, thanks to their shared love of politics. “We met through some mutual friends, and then she invited me to parliament for a day,” she recalled Rael.
Well, as far as first dates go, even Rael admitted that theirs was definitely “unusual.” But since he has always been interested in politics, he decided to “just go along” with it.

Fast forward to October 2017, the lovebirds got engaged (while on holiday in Cyprus) and tied the knot in February 2018 in the House of Commons. As for the wedding celebrations, they were joined by family and friends at the Holiday Inn in Titchfield, Fareham.
More than 100 residents, including many local councillors, joined them for a celebratory meal and party.
“Had a wonderful day yesterday celebrating my wedding to Rael Braverman in Fareham. Thanks to all the family, friends and @FarehamTories for making it so memorable,” Suella also tweeted after the celebration.
Speaking of their children, Rael and Suella welcomed their first and second children in 2019 and 2021, respectively.
During Suella’s first pregnancy, with George, she even made headlines as she was able to carry out her electoral duties as an MP while on maternity leave thanks to a power scheme that developed around the same time. She later praised the scheme as “important” because it allows MPs to “vote normally while caring for their newborn children”.
Also, during Suella’s second pregnancy with her daughter, Suella made headlines again for having to change the law, just to ensure that her employer, Her Majesty’s Government, would pay her while she took time off with her new baby.
