Priah Ferguson was born to parents Adjua and John Ferguson. According to the star, they are the most supportive parents she could wish for and she considers herself lucky to have them.
But since Priah’s parents’ jobs required creativity, it was only natural that they would inspire their daughter to pursue art. Early on, Priah’s mother first introduced her to acting. And after she Priah wanted to learn more about the trade from her, she explained the business to Priah.
“I would really like movies and shows with a lot of suspense and I would say, ‘Oh, how are they on TV? How they did it? How are they filming this?'” Priah recalled.
So after learning all about the process, Priah asked her parents if she could take acting seriously. Although somewhat skeptical, Adjua and John put her through acting lessons and in the end her decision paid off.
After taking on various minor roles since 2015, Priah landed her first major role on Stranger Things in 2016.
