On the food competition show. Pressure cooker on Netflix, Ed Porter was one of 11 chefs who competed. On January 6, 2022, the show debuted, where 11 brilliant chefs prepared their best dishes and judged each other. The show has been compared to a mix of Top Chef and Big Brother. The first season of the series featured a series of extraordinary chefs who wowed viewers with their skills and strategies while sharing an apartment.
The show was reportedly filmed in Los Angeles, California. Robbie Jester won the competition and took home $100,000 in prizes. Christan Willis, Brian Nadeau, Caroline Gutierrez, Lana Lagomarsini, Jeana Pecha, Michael Eckles, Renee Blackman, Lin Bin, and Sergey Simonov were other cast members who accompanied him.

Ed Porter’s career
Ed Porter is a culinary industrialist. His culinary journey began in 1998 when he started working at Aquavit as head chef. After two years, he began working at Radisson as a kitchen supervisor in Minneapolis for nearly two years. In 2001 Ed founded Divine Foods International and worked until March 2004.
Ed also worked as a kitchen supervisor at Marriott International from March 2003 to January 2005. He was a Certified Master Taster with Chef’s Best. Ed’s other jobs included working at Willie Mays Skybox Lounge as Executive Chef (2004-2006). He has also held the same position at the California Maritime Academy, 300 San Jose/AMF, and Bowlmor AMF.
From September 2016 to November 2017, Ed worked at SPiN: A Ping Pong Social Club as the Director of Food and Beverage. As of May 2018, Ed was working at Brookdale as the Director of Food Services.
Since 2023, Ed has been working at Start Today Hennepin as the Managing Director and Business Owner at Black Fig Culinary Concepts. In addition to running his business, he also competed before the Netflix show and was celebrated as the winner of Food Network’s Guy’s Grocery Games.
Ed was also a musician who released a song titled Pressure cooker. Porter and co-producer CharlesInCharge establish the slow, funky, organic vibe of the song’s bass, drums, and guitar. The chef does a polished freestyle as he speaks into the microphone, reminiscing about his experiences on the show, and greeting each of his fellow contestants.

Ed is the proud father of five children and expresses his love for his children through social media posts.
