Robert Charles Hunter is Diana Ladd’s third husband. The two were married on February 14, 1999, and lived as a stepfamily after that, with their children.
Before Robert, the Chesapeake Shores star was married to William A. Shea, Jr. from April 1973 to 1976. And before that, Diane was married to actor Bruce Dern from 1960 to June 1969. Diane and Bruce together they had two children, one of whom, Diane Elizabeth Dern, (first daughter, born November 27, 1960) died tragically at the age of 17.
Diane Elizabeth reportedly passed away 15 days after accidentally falling into the family swimming pool and hitting her head, causing a massive brain hemorrhage.
Diana and Bruce’s second daughter, Laura Dern, was born on February 10, 1967.
Laura is also an actress like her mother who has appeared in movies like Rambling Rose (1991), October Sky (1999), I Am Sam (2001), We Don’t Live Here Anymore (2004), Jurassic Park (1993) and Jurassic Park III (2001).
On December 23, 2005, Laura married musician Ben Harper. And together they welcomed three children: Harper, Ellery Walker, and Jaya Harper.

He started working in his family business during high school and in 1974 he went to work for Frito Lay, a PepsiCo company. Shortly thereafter, he was transferred to the Pizza Hut headquarters, where he implemented an established service/distribution system that grew into a $4 billion company.
In August 1997, he retired as President and CEO of PepsiCo Food Systems. And two years later, he started working as CEO of Exxcell Entertainment, Inc.
Since then Robert pursued metaphysical studies and began a journey of learning about alternatives to the world he knew and seeking out those that piqued his interest. Fortunately, on a trip to Sedona, Arizona, Robert awakened his dormant awareness of the unknown, broadening his perspective on the world and focusing on what it means to be alive.
Wanting to share his experience, Robert began writing a series of six books titled Curious Journey. The first two, Origins and Energy, were published in 2008, and the third was then in progress. In these books, he introduced concepts, enlightened readers, and guided skeptics down a path that can encourage more critical thinking.
“He seeks to inform and educate, not indoctrinate, others about ideas, insights, and discoveries about the world around us that we may not yet know about,” his official biography reads.
As for Robert’s education, he received a Bachelor of Arts from Artesia University in 1969. He then graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1981 and also has a Ph.D. from the Logos Center.
