This is especially tricky because you can normally think of seahorses as bright shadows and they really stand out against the background.
Not so with this one, which couldn’t be more hidden.
The seahorse is the same shade of pink as the coral it hides in, making it quite easy to miss.
Plus, it has a similar bumpy texture, making it nearly impossible to spot.
The creature in the images is a small seahorse, which is quite small.
Even when fully grown, they are often less than an inch in size, so it’s no wonder they’re so easy to hide.
Small seahorses are found in Southeast Asia in the Coral Triangle area.
They are especially known for their amazing camouflage abilities.
