Desiree Loudermilk married her husband, Congressman Barry Loudermilk, in 1983. Their paths crossed two years before their wedding, in 1981, while both were serving in church ministry helping underprivileged children. The couple believes in strong family ties and the entire family served in the Civil Air Patrol, where they trained and participated in search and rescue, disaster relief and other emergency services throughout the state of Georgia.
Desiree and Barry, along with their children, are active in the community and have volunteered with charities and service organizations throughout the state.
