Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are taking the series in a new direction with an open-world design, and what better Pokémon to represent that change than a wandering tumbleweed.
Bramblin is a Dual Grass and Ghost-type Pokémon that can be found quite early in your adventure in Paldea. As well as several other new Pokémon. crimson and purple, Bramblin has a unique requirement that you must complete before it evolves into Brambleghast. Put on your walking shoes and we’ll explain how it works.
How to evolve a Bramblin into a Brambleghast
Evolving a Bramblin into a Brambleghast will require some work, and by work we mean walking. Much like the evolution from Pawmo to Pawmot, you’ll need to walk Bramblin around using the game’s Let’s Go feature.
Step 1: There is no specific level for Bramblin to evolve to, but you will need to level it up. Before you take him on the hike described below, try to get him as close to leveling up as possible through battles or by using EXP candy. This is just to save time later.
Step 2: Place the Bramblin at the head of your party and press R. to enter Let’s Go mode and let it wander outside of its Pokéball. You must take 1000 steps with Bramblin using this feature.
There’s no pedometer to use, but it took us about six minutes of continuous walking to reach the evolution threshold.
Be careful not to walk too fast. If you stray too far from the Bramblin, it will automatically return to its Pokéball and the step count will reset. We recommend just walking around town to avoid wild Pokemon.
Step 3: After walking for a while and you think you’ve done 1000 steps, go to your bag and use the EXP Candy on Bramblin to level up.
If you don’t have XP candies, you can easily find them in Tera Raids. Instead, you can try to engage in a wild Pokemon battle.
Your Bramblin should immediately evolve into a Brambleghast
