Meet the members of the Rebecca Musser family
Rebecca Musser was born to mother Sharon Steed and father Lloyd Wall. She grew up learning that men are in charge of women and that suffering in this life means “salvation in the next.” Her sexual offenses were widespread: Rebecca was 4 years old when an older relative of hers first abused her.
Chosen to be the nineteenth wife of Rulon Jeffs, “I didn’t want it,” Rebecca recalled. “But refusing that ‘blessing’ would bring enormous shame to my family.” The FLDS considered Rulon a prophet. She remembers that “she felt Rulón’s hand and how bony she was at our wedding. I had to get him out of the chair because he couldn’t walk on his own. She kept thinking, ‘Is this what I’m supposed to be in love with?'”
However, nothing compares to the seven years of sexual abuse that followed. They called her to her room to have sex at least three times a month, Rebecca recalled.
When she refused his advances, Jeffs’ son Warren, who would eventually become the leader of the FLDS, promised that she would be ‘destroyed in the flesh’ if she refused him again.
Who is Rebecca Musser’s husband, Ben Musser?
Rebecca Musser married her husband Ben Musser, who was technically her grandson. When she made the decision to flee the property, she walked half a mile to meet Ben, who would meet her in her brother’s truck. They spent the days longing for home and remembering their mother, sisters and friends, but in the meantime they were comforted because they began to earn money. Two weeks later, after countless applications, they both got jobs in restaurants.
They later married and became the parents of two children: Kyle and Natalija. in his book The witness was wearing red., Rebecca wrote: “I also dedicate this book to Ben Musser, who I have watched grow into an amazing and loving father.” But then they divorced.

Natalia, like her mother, loves the violin. In fact, Natalia is getting violin lessons from Rebecca, according to IG posts. Rebecca started teaching in November 2016.
