Whitney Henriquez was the first witness to testify in the Depp v. Heard from 2022 that she claimed to have personally seen Johnny Depp hit Amber Heard.
After answering some basic questions, Whitney began her testimony by saying that she met Johnny sometime in 2011 for The Rum Diary press tour. But just a year later, she officially met him as her sister’s boyfriend.
At the time, Whitney was living with Amber as they shared an apartment on Orange Avenue. Also, at the time she was dividing her time between there and her boyfriend’s apartment. Which means she wasn’t home the whole time.
So at the start of Johnny and Amber Whitney’s relationship, the Pirates of the Caribbean star hit it off at first. Because Johnny was sober at the time, “brilliant, beautiful, charming, kind and generous,” it was very easy to get to know him, he explained.
Besides, she had never seen her sister so madly in love with someone. But when Johnny started “using,” there was almost always an argument that eventually led to Amber losing her smile, humor, and joy.

In September 2013, Whitney even saw Johnny throw a steak knife at his assistant at a hotel, but she missed him.
Sharing another incident of Johnny’s violent behavior, Whitney added that the actor walked up to her from behind in October 2015 and punched her in the back. To which Amber responded by slapping Johnny across the face. Which ultimately led to Johnny grabbing Amber by her hair with one of her hands and “slamming her in the face several times” with the other.
So after the incident, Johnny allegedly asked Whitney to sign an NDA, which she never did, and she was also accused of selling stories to the media.
At the end of her testimony, it was also revealed that Whitney “unfortunately” joked with Johnny (via text) about hitting his sister.
