Brody Wellmaker was born to parents Tim Wellmaker and Staci Wellmaker in Grayson, Georgia as one of six children. His parents have been married since May 10, 1986. As of August 2022, they have been married for 36 years.

Tim Wellmaker is the son of June McGinnis Wellmaker and Billy Wellmaker. His parents were married for 61 years until his mother died on September 12, 2020. He graduated from Roswell Hornet in 1956. Tim has two brothers; Beth and Tamie. His maternal grandparents were Martha McGinnis and Harold (Fuzz) McGinnis.
Tim also lost his sister some time ago. His father, Arthur Billy Wellmaker, died after his mother. He passed away on July 1, 2021.
