Comedian Jaboukie Young-White has spoken about his family members on several occasions. “I grew up in Harvey, Illinois, one of the most violent cities in the world. [the state]Jaboukie said. His upbringing with his family was intertwined with his career as a comedian. Jaboukie said Chicago Tribune, “My parents are immigrants from Jamaica and both come from a multiracial background. They are from Jamaica, but my genetic makeup is from West Africa, Europe and Asia. My parents watched “Saturday Night Live” and there was this Jamaican comedian named Oliver Samuels and they would get his DVDs, basically the Jamaican Tyler Perry. I think I got into comedy because it was shorthand for mores and social codes, that’s how I learned American culture and customs. Because I grew up in a traditional family and things that (everyone knows) like… The Beatles! I did not arrive. So my first-hand experience in the United States began around… 2004. But as a struggling immigrant who often wants his children to be lawyers or doctors, Joaboukie’s parents were okay with him pursuing comedy as a career. He said: “I think the problem with immigrants is twofold. My parents were more in agreement with me doing comedy because I showed from a very young age that I took it very seriously. I did speeches and debates in high school, and my senior year I won both comedy events I was in. If you show that you are incredibly passionate about something, it will be like “okay” but you have to be rich! As long as you’re rich. Jaboukie Young-White was born to parents Norma Young-White and Condel A White.
Norma, Jaboukie’s mother, is 60 years old. She was born in June 1962. Meanwhile, her husband Condel was born in October 1957, making him 64 years old.
Speaking of her jobs, Norma served as the president of the Illinois Harvey Education Association. The mission of the Harvey Education Association, an affiliate of the Illinois Education Association/National Education Association, is to provide a quality public school education to the students of Harvey, Illinois.

Jaboukie Young-White has two brothers. In June 2019, speaking with gay, one of his brothers came out like it was after the comedian announced on national television that he was gay. Afterward, he was surprised, but also felt that he was “someone else stealing my moment.”
Jaboukie once wrote: “I’m gay and one of my brothers is bisexual and my other brother is straight: my mother’s womb was basically a gay dance club turned locker room.” Apparently, his brother already knew that he was gay because Jaboukie admitted that he had a bad habit of not closing the pornography on his computer.
Jaboukie is an uncle because his brother Javaaughn Young-White gave birth to his daughter Adeyya Nomi with R&B singer Kehlani in 2019. Javaaughn and Kehlani have split, but the “CRZY” singer has admitted Javaaughn has been incredibly supportive of him.
