NEET UG 2023: All India Student Union (AISU) has received a letter from the National Health Commission (NMC) seeking feedback on the idea of ​​holding the NEET UG exam twice a year starting this year . According to NMC, there is no such plan.

AISU’s official tweet read: “We received a response from NMC to our representative requesting to conduct NEET UG twice a year. Their response highlights the financial challenges and strain on government resources. The answer is disappointing.”

In a letter to the Association, the NMC stated that all available MBBS seats were filled during this single consultation round and no additional NEET UG examination was needed. In addition, the NEET exam requires a significant investment of time, money and other resources, so the organization of the exam can be too heavy a burden on the national budget.

“In view of the above, it is not feasible for the Commission to conduct this examination twice a year. However, NEET candidates are now free to appear for the examination next year because of the upper age limit. has been removed,” the NMC statement said.
