Megan Dufresne, the youngest of Suzanne Sevakis’ three children, was reportedly given up for adoption shortly after her birth. It was in 1989 that she was given up for adoption to a New Orleans couple who couldn’t have children of their own. There is no information about her biological father.

Michael was with Suzanne when she gave up her first child for adoption. About six weeks before Megan’s birth, she and Floyd contacted a law firm about placing her third child up for adoption. They claimed that they did not have the means to support another child.

They are now located in New Orleans, Louisiana. Mary DuFresne addressed Matt Birkbeck in Matt’s first book in 2005 Pretty boy published in 2004. Matt recalled that Megan’s mother, Mary, had come clean with him and that they had kept her identity a secret for several years.
Prior to that, Megan was informed that her mother had been killed in a car accident, but did not discover additional information about her biological mother until 2004, when Matt Birkbeck’s book “A Beautiful Child” was published.
