Conversations with a Murderer: The John Wayne Gacy Tapes created and directed by Joe Berlinger for Netflix is what we are talking about. It is the second sequel in conversations with the killer series and which follows the killing spree of serial killer John Wayne Gacy, who killed at least 33 teenagers and young men between 1972 and 1978 in Chicago, Illinois.
Premiering on April 20, 2022, the story is told through never-before-heard archival audio recorded during Gacy’s incarceration, interviews with participants close to the case, and one of the surviving victims.

Meet Christine Gacy, daughter of John Wayne Gacy
The now deceased John Wayne was an American serial killer and sex offender responsible for the deaths of at least 33 young men and boys. Even after his death, he is known today for his criminal record. But before all these crimes and before he was caught for it, he seemed to lead a normal life with his family.
After graduating from Northwestern Business College, he met Marlynn Myers. Nine months later, in 1964, he married her. At that time, John was only 22 years old. However, he and his wife welcomed two children into their lives. One of them is Christine Gacy (of course) and the other is Michael Gacy.
And while John has always been a household name since his crime, very little is known about his wife and Christine’s mother.
Four years after the wedding, John was in trouble with the law after attacking and strangling a boy he had hired to work for him. And it took him until August 1968 to finally plead guilty to sodomy. He was sentenced to 10 years behind bars. But despite his 10-year sentence, he only served 18 months and was pardoned for good conduct. And in between (1969), while he was still behind bars, his wife filed for divorce.
After his divorce from Marlynn, John moved in with Carole Hoff in 1972. And just like the first time, the marriage began to fall apart after Carole finally found out about John’s misdeeds. They separated in 1976.
Where is Christine Gacy today?
Christine Gacy, though born to a murderous father, narrowly avoided being a part of her house of horrors because her mother took her and her older brother with her after their divorce.
At first glance, Christine’s childhood seems quite normal. But soon things were not normal, since a year after her birth, her father went to prison for sexually abusing a teenager. Since then, unlike John, Christine, her mother and her brother have stayed out of the limelight.
A little less than a year later, after Christine’s mother filed for divorce, she was awarded a divorce and full custody of both children. But then the mother of two told the New York Times that she had trouble believing John was gay. Also, she said that he was a good father; and that he was never violent with her or with her children.
Anyway, from that moment on, Christine and her brother grew up away from their father. They never saw him again.

Christine Gacy was supposedly born in 1967. So, in 2022, she would have turned 55.
His brother, you know, was born a year earlier. And his serial killer’s father later, looking back, called those years perfect.
Christine Gacy’s work
After Christine’s father was executed by lethal injection in 1969 and said “Kiss me on the ass” as his last words on May 10, 1994, the name ‘Gacy’ was effectively buried, John’s sister later said, Karen, on the Oprah show. And John’s children, Karen said, have distanced themselves even further from his father’s legacy. She further added that both Christine and Michael have rebuffed her many attempts to keep in touch.
