John Melngailis has been a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Maryland since October 1993. His interests have focused on ion beam micro- and nanofabrication, on the development of new beam-induced processes, including processes induced by electron beams. deposition and a new device structure based on the creation of a focused ion beam.
