Singer Davido has donated all the money – N250,000,000.00 that he received from his fans, friends and supporters to an orphanage in 36 states of Nigeria.
DMW boss whose favorite quote is “we rise up others” donates the 200 million he gave to charity, adds 50 million from his personal funds.
According to a statement obtained by MANDY NEWS, the singer said: “I have always been passionate about giving back and helping people.”

“NGN 250,000,000.00 DONATION TO ORPHANAGES IN NIGERIAI want to express my sincere thanks to my friends, colleagues, fans, and the public for the generous expressions of love over the past few days. In my usual playful way, a few days ago I asked my friends and colleagues to send me money to celebrate my birthday. The response and result exceeded my expectations as I received around NGN 200,000,000.00 in less than two days. I truly appreciate everyone who donated hard-earned funds and am so grateful for your generosity.I have always been passionate about giving back and helping people. With this in mind, I am pleased to announce that all funds raised, totaling NGN 200,000,000.00, will be donated to orphanages in Nigeria as well as the Paroche Foundation. In addition, I will be making a personal donation of NGN 50,000,000.00, bringing the total to NGN 250,000,000.00.To oversee the distribution of funds to grantees, I have established a five-member Disbursement Committee. Board members include:
1. Ms. Titi Adebayo—President of the Board of Directors.
2. Professor Jonathan Nwosu—Secretary of the Board.
3. Professor Yahana Joel Asabe of the Northern Nigeria Conference of the Union of Seventh-day Adventists.
4. Pastor (Dr.) Oyalabu of Spring Time Development Foundation (SDF).

The committee will compile a list of orphanages in Nigeria. They will determine the number of children and their needs in each orphanage and then distribute the funds accordingly. The committee will determine a part of the money that will be donated to the Paroche Foundation. To maintain transparency, the committee will publicly announce the names of the beneficiary orphanages and how much each will receive. A list of all users and their verified account details will be provided to Wema Bank, which will then receive instructions to credit each user’s account.My goal is to raise funds every year to celebrate my birthday and give back to people in need.
