Fans of The Boys should be very happy with Jensen Ackles’ latest thirst trap in a cardigan. Following a long stint on Supernatural, Ackles joined the cast of Prime Video’s The Boys in season 3. He portrayed Soldier Boy, an enhanced individual with superpowers that rival those of Homelander (Antony Starr) in strength. In June, The Boys was renewed for season 4 the same month season 3 began releasing.
Adam Rose recently took to TikTok to give his fans what they wanted, which was another Ackles thirst trap. Rose previously worked with Ackles while guest starring on Supernatural as Aaron Bass for two episodes. In August, he posted a thirst trap of Ackles in a cardigan, and recently, he gave his followers the long-awaited sequel. Check out the TikToks below:
Will Jensen Ackles Return As Soldier Boy In The Boys Season 4?
While fans really enjoy the cardigan, they also want to see Ackles back in his Soldier Boy uniform for The Boys season 4. At the end of season 3, Soldier Boy met a fairly ambiguous ending. Throughout the season, it is established that Soldier Boy boasts a healing factor that makes it extremely difficult to kill him. As a result, once he goes rogue and The Boys take him down, the best they can do is return him to a locked gas capsule to contain him. However, Soldier Boy is still very much alive and could be freed from his containment once more.
So far, Prime Video has not officially announced Ackles’ return as Soldier Boy in The Boys season 4. However, it has been teased. Back in August, a photo of Karl Urban and Jack Quaid on the set of The Boys season 4 was posted on Urban’s Instagram. Ackles posted a cryptic comment writing, “Pour me a double… I’m on my way,” which fans took as a tease of his return. Later, The Boys’ Twitter page shared a behind-the-scenes photo of Ackles seemingly working on his Soldier Boy physique and captioned the photo, “More like Shoulder Boy, innit.”
Based on these teases, Soldier Boy may be returning for The Boys season 4. If he does return, it will likely spell trouble for The Boys. As seen in season 3, Soldier Boy sought vengeance on his old team who betrayed him during World War II by handing him over to the Russians. As a result, if freed from his capsule, he might go after The Boys with this same thirst for vengeance, given that Butcher (Urban) betrayed him after recruiting him to kill Homelander. However, Soldier Boy’s return could also be a good thing for them, as, so far, he has been the only superhuman who has ever come close to winning a fight with Homelander. While not confirmed, The Boys season 4 could get a lot of use out of Ackles’ return as Soldier Boy.
