Lekki Massacre: Read What DJ Switch Tells Canadian Parliament

Famous Nigerian disc jockey, DJ Switch, born Obianuju Catherine Udeh, has revealed that the soldiers who fired on peaceful #ENDSARS protesters at the Lekki toll gate, Lagos on October 20, 2020, said they were sent to protest superior orders.

DJ Switch speaks before the International Human Rights Subcommittee of the Canadian Parliament’s Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development.

She said; “Since we didn’t know where the shots were coming from and what they were doing, so the lights went out.

“I remember the army came in first, they stopped shooting at one point, I went up to one of them and asked him why he was shooting at us, and he said he had an express order from above, and I got too close to him. if I got too close, it would be considered an attack on him and I would have to shoot.

“Not even ten minutes had passed, the shooting started again. I remember seeing seven people get hit and we were telling people on my Instagram Live to help us call an ambulance.”
