A bun in the oven! Pregnant Katharine McPhee may be tight-lipped about her pregnancy news, however, the actress has been constantly providing information on her pregnancy progress.
Us Weekly confirmed in October 2020 that the singer, 36, has a young boy, her first child with husband David Foster. (The composer, 71, is already a father to Allison, 50, Amy, 47, Sare, 39, Erin, 38, and Jordan, 34.)
Later that same week, the Broadway star subtly confirmed the news while thanking Aperol Spritz for the gift. “For those of you who don’t know, it’s one of my favorite drinks and it reminds me of being in Capri,” the Los Angeles native said in an Instagram video at the time. I won’t be drinking this anytime soon, wink wink. However, I am very excited! Who’s here for an Italian-inspired cocktail?”
McPhee showed off her maternity style for the first time the following month, her growing baby bump on display in a long-sleeved black shirt, matching skirt, and sandals. He was wearing black sunglasses and covering his face when he went out to Los Angeles.
The American Idol season 5 winner decided not to reveal her bump on social media until December 2020. The currently pregnant star wore a blue coat and white sneakers in an Instagram selfie.
“My wife AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL BRILLIANT,” Foster commented on the social media post.
The following month, McPhee showed off her bare midriff by posing in a pink coat with a sheer veil.
She and the Canadian married in June 2019 in London. The service “was really intimate and special, not a big show…but still lovely,” a source told us at the time. Starting next year, several insiders told us that some were “definitely trying” to get pregnant.
McPhee was previously married to Nick Cokas of fame in 2008, and they split six decades later. As for Foster, the Grammy winner was married to BJ Cook from 1972 to 1981, Rebecca Dyer from 1982 to 1986, Linda Thompson from 1991 to 2005, and Yolanda Hadid from 2011 to 2015.
