How to download Instagram threads
The first step to joining Instagram Threads is to download the app. While you can use your Instagram account to log into Threads, you’ll need to download a new app to access it.
You can download Instagram Threads on iOS and Instagram Threads on Android and the steps for both are as follows.
Step 1: If you have an iPhone, open it app store. If you are using an Android phone, open Toy store.
Step 2: In the App Store on your iPhone, tap Looking For in the bottom right corner of the screen, tap the search bar at the top and search for instagram themes. In the Play Store on your Android phone, tap the search bar at the top of the screen and search for instagram themes.
Step 3 – Tap on the Threads app when you see it – the app icon is a white @ symbol on a black background.
Step 4: On your iPhone, tap Get to download and install threads. On Android, tap Install button.
How to sign up for Instagram threads
With the app now installed on your phone, it’s time to sign up for Instagram Threads! This is what that process looks like.
Step 1: Open neither app and touch Login with the Instagram button to log in with your Instagram account.
Step 2: Tap Import from Instagram Button to import the data of your Instagram profile. Alternatively, you can enter your profile bio, link, and image manually by tapping on each icon. When you’re done, tap Following.
Step 3: Select if you want a public profile or a private profile. Once you have selected one, tap Following.
Step 4: You will see a list of the people you follow on Instagram. You can touch track everything To follow everyone on Threads, tap continue next to individual names to follow only the people you want or touch Following in the upper right corner to skip this step.
Step 5 – Tap join the threads.

The home page shows all threads/posts from people you follow, while the search page shows recommended accounts and allows you to search for specific accounts.
