Just under 1,000 people were on hand Tuesday night at the site of a rave party attended by up to 10,000 partygoers in the Cevennes mountains last weekend, the Lozère prefecture said, citing an “acceleration of the exits”.

Farmers from the Coordination “threatened to block the A75 motorway, if the forced evacuation of the ‘technival’ site… is not carried out immediately,” the prefecture said. Prevented from carrying out this action, they blocked or slowed down traffic on several roads before “meeting in the center of Mende”, where they made noise from 11:30 p.m.
“It is unfortunate that the action of the peasants of the Rural Coordination diverts part of the forces of the order from the priority mission that has been assigned to them on the technical website,” he lamented.
