Ajax’s Sebastien Haller suffers bizarre optical illusion as foot twists BACKWARDS while scoring penalty to clinch title

Haller, 27, scored from a penalty in the 38th minute to make it 3-0 on an unforgettable night.

Ajax went on a rampage scoring five goals as they clinched the Eredivisie title under outgoing manager Erik ten Hag.

But far from celebrating, fans were drawn to the crazy image of Haller’s penalty kick, which seemed to show the white-haired man twisting his leg backwards.

The right-hander opened his body so wide to meet the bottom left corner of the goalie that his heel appeared to be pointing toward the goal with his toes pointing back.

One fan said, “I know that dance move.”

Another commented: “Creepy.”

Another wrote: “The man was connected to aliens.”

And a fourth, a die-hard Red Devils fan, added: “His ankle is going to come to Manchester United.”

Others compared Haller’s technique to that used by United striker Marcus Rashford from the penalty spot.

Despite telegraphing which way it would fit, Haller still found the back of the net.

And it could be one of his last goals for the Amsterdam giants.

Borussia Dortmund are expected to try to sign Haller for around £35m as a replacement for Erling Haaland.

But as SunSport has revealed, they could face competition from Old Trafford when Ten Hag looks to take West Ham’s failure to England with them.
