Episode 8 of My Mom Your Dad premiered on HBO on January 13, 2021. The series, which has a cast of ten (single parents), is described as: “A group of single parents move into a house together like their college – the older kids try to pull the strings behind the scenes and give their parents a second chance at love.”
Georgian Troy Petrick is the father of four children. While Troy has always been successful when it comes to his career, the same can’t be said for his love life. Although life with his four children gave Troy all the joy he could wish for, his children cared for him.
As a result, Troy’s children took him on HBO’s My Mom Your Dad for the sole purpose of giving him a second chance at finding love. Surprisingly, the move turned out to be beneficial for them and his father, as Troy met his love Karen Larrea on the show.

Troy and Karen locked eyes and seemed to hit it off as soon as they walked into Second Chance Retreat. Their connection grew stronger the more time they spent together. Plus, the conversation they had while cooking dinner that first night was all Karen needed to get her mind off all the men she’d initially found attractive.
However, her children made sure to date other actors to explore their options. Instead, all she did was pull Troy and Karen closer.
Unfortunately, the duo’s time together was cut short as Karen had to leave the show due to personal issues. After Karen left the show, Troy found it a bit pointless to stay on Second Chance because he was determined that she was “the one.”
To everyone’s delight, the duo began a relationship a month later. Despite the distance, with Troy in Georgia and Karen in Florida, it is understood that they are still together.
