84 residents of a long-term care facility in Pulnoy (Meurthe-et-Moselle) were again locked in their rooms after the discovery that five employees and 29 residents were infected with the coronavirus and the death of one in the 1990s, the ARS announced the Grand Orient this Monday.
“Of a total of 84 residents of Ehpad (Institution for the accommodation of the sick elderly), an institution of the Acoris mutual group, 29 tested positive for Covid-19, as well as five professionals who work in the structure, a total of 60 employees” , announced the Regional Health Agency (ARS).

According to the president of this long-term care facility, “only four people have symptoms, all the rest have no symptoms,” and there is no resident who has not been hospitalized. “A person over 90 years of age, who had a PCR test on August 6 (nasal, WARNING, ed.) tested positive, and on August 8 tested negative for PCR, died on August 9,” ARS announced.

After two cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed among residents on August 5, “the institution took all measures to isolate and protect residents” and “a collective screening was organized for all residents and workers” during the next two days, according to ARS.
