American actress, model and singer Naya Rivera was found dead in Piru Lake, California on July 13, 2020.
Naya, who began her career as an actress and child model, passed away at the age of 33 after being declared a missing person on July 8, 2020.
Naya Rivera’s four-year-old son was found alone in his rented boat on Lake Piru, near Santa Clarita, California.
On July 13, five days after she went missing, her body was found in Lake Piru and the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office pronounced her dead.
“The press conference has ended. Sheriff Ayub confirmed that the body was found today in Piru Naya Rivera. Our hearts go out to his family, friends and fans at this difficult time. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of his death.” . the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office said.
Naya Rivera’s 4-year-old son, Josey, told investigators his mother pushed him onto the deck of her rented boat and saved him from drowning in a southern California lake, the sheriff says. The actress could not be saved.
