The most exciting part of any new Pokemon title is obviously all the new monsters waiting to be found and caught. Between them, each new generation includes new Legendary Pokémon that are a bit harder to get than others. IN Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, one of those new legendaries is the elusive Wo-Chien. If he’s trying to complete his Pokédex, this is how he can add this hidden slug to his team.
How to find Wo-Chien
Wo-Chien doesn’t wait to be caught like a normal Pokémon. Instead, you will need to collect some hidden items to open the sanctuary and get to it.
Step 1 – Collect the eight purple Ominous Stakes around Paldea from the locations marked on the map below. After pulling the last stake, you will hear a mysterious scream coming from the shrine.
Step 2: Wo-Chien’s shrine, Grasswither Shrine, is located in the Southern Province (Area One).
If you complete all of the history lessons in school and continue to talk to Mrs. Raifort after that, she will eventually tell you the old Paldean story of the Ruined Quartet and mark the location of Grasswither Shrine and other shrines on your overworld map.

Step 3: Fight and capture Wo-Chien.
This is a level 60 dark/grass type, but if you want to catch it, avoid using fire types because you can accidentally kick it. Make sure you also have strong Pokéballs, like Ultra Balls.
