Matthew and Brandon have known each other since at least 2015. Matthew wrote a sweet message to his husband on Instagram to celebrate their six years together. Along with some of the photos of her, Matthew wrote: “It has been 6 beautiful years of laughing, crying, growing and learning to get by together… Thank you for giving me your vulnerability and growing with me. Thank you for helping me to know that I am not too much.”

The lovers tied the knot in Santa Barbara, California in 2020, just months before the pandemic hit. On January 11, 2022, the couple celebrated their third wedding anniversary. On that occasion, Matthew uploaded some photos of his marriage and put a long but sweet caption.
Through the same IG post, Matthew revealed that his marriage to Brandon has been the greatest source of healing he could have asked for. He added: “It was a place where she could safely and courageously address childhood hurts, insecurities, anxieties and inner beliefs.”
Matthew also shared how Brandon constantly pushed and challenged him to be better and do better. In the end, Matthew appreciated his love for his kindness. He wrote: “Brandon is the nicest person I have ever met; his generosity knows no bounds, and the way he loves and treats everyone in his life, no matter who they are, as if they were the most important person on the planet, just melts my heart.”
