Then, for the next six months, Doc spent his time “sending poetry, buying flowers, or just wooing” Sumata until she finally gave him a chance. Not long after, Sumati was taking nude photos with Doc.
However, at the time, Doc was still married to his first wife, Betsy ‘Brahmi’ Rogers. “Fortunately, his (Betsy’s) Brahmi wife found those photos and burned them,” Sumati said with relief.
Finally, on Sumata’s 15th birthday, the couple slept together for the first time. But before mating, they held a spiritual wedding ceremony in Doc’s second-floor meditation room.
The couple then went on their honeymoon to the Virgin Islands with Doc’s first wife, Betsy.
Over time, Doc became abusive. He was “incredibly violent,” Sumati said. Furthermore, he later added that “four times in four years” he almost killed her.
So why wasn’t she? Sumati replied: “He would beat me or be violent towards me, he would scare me into staying with him, he would strangle me until I passed out.”
At one point, Doc Sumati allegedly even broke two ribs to silence her.

Talking about the time before Tilakam was born, Doc initially claimed that Tilakam was not his son and asked Sumati to have an abortion. However, she insisted on giving birth, and Doc responded by packing up and leaving.
On the tape, Doc said that Sumati was a “crazy little teenager”, “so you know I dated her too long and she got pregnant”.
