“My family is very worried that I will yell a lot and make a terrible noise. But they are also very excited because they know how much I like to challenge myself.”
Louise, who normally never talks about her husband and personal life, also opened up about the “turning point” in their relationship as recently as 2021. During the BBC’s Breakfast program, Louise recounted how a ski trip changed her relationship with her husband David forever.
So this happened. Louis and David, who used to go skiing together often, were about to go skiing again when Louis, who normally struggled to keep up, cut ahead and left him on the mountain.
Louis came down from the glacier and panicked: ‘Oh my God, where is he? And I stayed there for a long time” when David came up behind him and said, “No, you’re just so fast.” So Louis said that was the day everything changed for them.
Then, in November 2016, Loius also revealed in a tweet that David had survived cancer.
