Mind-boggling optical illusion will make the circles vanish before your eyes… does it work for you?

A STUNNING optical illusion has viewers scratching their heads as the circles appear to disappear before your very eyes.

The visual representation begins when the observer sees a series of purple dots arranged in a circle around the focal point.

For the optical illusion to work, you need to look at the black cross in the center of the circle for at least 20 seconds.

At first it will appear that a gap appears around the purple dots.

After some time, you will see a green circle replace the purple one as you move clockwise.

Focus on the black cross for a longer time and the purple circles will disappear completely, leaving only a green dot running in a circular fashion.

But be careful not to break the gaze because the green dot will disappear and the illusion will fade.

Don’t you believe us? Try it yourself.

First created in 2005, the stunning visual is known as the Lila Hunter Illusion or Pacman Illusion.

According to its inventor, Jeremy Hinton, “the illusion illustrates Troxler fading, complementary colors, negative side effects, and is capable of displaying colors outside the gamut of the screen.”

The illusion works because of a negative retinal afterimage in which parts of the retina of our eye become overstimulated and desensitized.

A negative afterimage means that we can continue to see colors for a short time even after the stimulus is no longer present.

A mind trick is also an example of apparent motion, which is when you see something in one place and again in a slightly different place, you tend to perceive movement.

Recently, a similar illusion of a moving white dot also confused and divided the Internet.

Meanwhile, this optical illusion that uses shadows has left viewers wondering: can you guess what’s behind the image?
