People who donated to fight against Covid-19 in Nigeria

The number of CONVID-19 cases in Nigeria has risen to 51 according to the NCDC, and some prominent people are helping fight the epidemic and doing what they can for the economy. The list and how they contributed to the fight against the epidemic is as follows:

1. Jack Ma- JackMa is a Chinese business magnate, investor, and politician. He is the co-founder and former CEO of Alibaba Group, a multinational technology conglomerate.

It donated medical supplies including 5.4ml face masks, 1.08ml screening tests, 40,000 sets of protective clothing and 60,000 sets of face shields. Just now, the medical supplies being moved from Lagos to Abuja have caused a lot of reactions from its citizens.

2. Runtown- Douglas Jack Agu, better known by his stage name Runtown, is a Nigerian singer-songwriter and producer.

In a bid to ensure everyone stays safe in these difficult times, Runtown yesterday shared 10 million naira with around 500 people via their Twitter account. The joy of those who received the gifts is endless as they constantly invite other people to show them how sincere this is.

3. Shehu Sanni is a Nigerian senator, writer, playwright and human rights activist.

Senator Shehu Sanni distributed protective items and food to churches, mosques, and correctional facilities.

4. Atiku Abubakar- Atiku GCON is a Nigerian politician, businessman, philanthropist and the People’s Democratic Party presidential candidate in the 2019 Nigerian general election.

Atiku Abubakar has donated N50 million as relief fund to support the Federal Government’s fight against the coronavirus pandemic in the country. He announced it in a press release on March 25, 2020.

5. Aliko Dangote- Aliko Dangote GCON is a Nigerian business magnate and philanthropist, founder and Chairman of the Dangote Group, the largest industrial conglomerate in Africa.

On March 2, 2020, the Aliko Dangote Foundation pledged a huge sum of N200 million to support the ongoing efforts of the Nigerian government to contain the spread of the Corona virus in the country.

6. Tony Elumelu: Chairman of Heirs Holdings, United Bank for Africa, Transcorp and founder of the Tony Elumelu Foundation.

The Tony Elumelu Foundation on Thursday March 26, 2020 pledged N5 billion (U$14 million)

7. Pastor Enenche, Dunamis Church donated medical equipment, materials.
