Angelson also appeared in the DC Comics Titans show. Her other notable works include two episodes of the television series This Is Us. In addition to television and film, Angelson has appeared in such Broadway shows as Vanya and Sonia and the Tony Award-winning Masha and Spike. Despite the character’s fondness for the show’s villain, Angelson told TV Line that Gladys Wheeler is not “a villain.”

She continued:

“I can’t say ‘I’m playing a horrible man’ because I’m playing Mrs. Wheeler. “I represent someone who would do anything to save humanity, and that is what we are up against,” I had to explain. So do I really want to be who I am? Sure is not. But I accept it as my reality and that’s what I do. That’s how I got out of it.”
