Meet KiKo Lorran’s Beneath-Deck Fiancée, Nicole Skwara
Nicole Skwara was dating Kiko Lorrano even before he appeared on Season 5 of Below Deck Med in 2016. That means the cute chef who was part of the yacht, lived, worked and made love on the superyacht was already taken. Not surprisingly, she didn’t get much drama on the show.
The chef was very personable, a fan favorite and even developed a close relationship with head chef Hannah Ferrier. Unfortunately, his cooking was not up to the task. Or so Captain Sandy said.
After Lorran and Hannah make a disastrous stir-fry for a meal, Captain Sandy is furious. And not long after that, KiKo left The Wellington of his own free will.
For those of you who blame Captain Sandy for her departure, she mentioned that she never said that KiKo was fired. “Our beloved chef is not a failure. She fell forward one step closer to his target. And she was way in over his head. The attempt. We all support him,” he added.

Now back to Kiko’s fiancée, Nicole is also an adventurer and lover of the ocean. After KiKo quit her job, so did Nicole, and the two began traveling the world, including Portugal, Cape Town (South Africa), Costa Rica, and Wabern, Hesse, Germany.
And finally, after incredible journeys, KiKo popped the question in April 2022 and Nicole said “Yes, I do!”

Prior to becoming a Steward, Nicole worked as a Customer Service Trainer at DigiOutsource from August 2016 to February 2019 in Cape Town. There, she oversaw customer service quality for her team of up to 12 members and also created trainings and scheduled sessions to address agent service gaps for customers.
And before that, she worked as a content creator at CapeTownMagazine.com – For Moments of Joy for 6 months.
So why did you choose life at sea? Well, since Nicole graduated in International Marketing and Management from the University of Kassel (2010-2015), she was initially interested in corporate business. She then moved to Cape Town, South Africa for almost 4 years to improve her English and start a career in digital outsourcing services.
Her nature of constantly seeking new challenges eventually led her to the ocean and superyacht industry, where her “experience in providing superior customer service” came in handy.
“It was always easy for me to learn quickly and adapt to new situations very quickly. I can pride myself on being reliable and totally committed to every task I take on,” she explained.
