This fast food cup illusion is driving people nuts on social media – can you work it out?

BUY loads of this – the latest viral video to send social media users into overdrive.

In the video he posted on Twitter user RayMond of Houston – allegedly an employee of the American chain Jack In The Box – three fast food glasses of different sizes appear to contain the same amount of liquid.

He demonstrates this by pouring what looks like Coca Cola from the smallest glass to a medium glass and then to a large glass.

Strangely, each seems to charge at exactly the same level.

The post, titled “They’re losing us so good lmaoo (sic),” has garnered more than 125,000 likes, more than 76,000 retweets, and more than 1,100 comments since it was shared earlier this week.

Social media users around the world are struggling to understand, with many putting forward theories as to how this is possible.

In the video, the alleged fast food worker pours the contents of the smaller cup into the medium cup, which is also filled to the brim.

Some suggested that the mugs had a deceptive design, while others suggested that it was a scam.

One advanced Twitter user wrote: “How do we know there wasn’t a fizzy drink in there that we couldn’t see?”

But rayMond tried to debunk this theory by posting another video in which he reveals that the glass is empty and he pours liquid from the larger glass to the smaller one.

For some, it shattered all illusions about fast food.

One tweeted: “I’m about to drive the whole planet crazy over this. I’ll never trust fast food again.”

Others were confused and said “That doesn’t even make sense lol the second cup can fit INSIDE the big cup so there’s no way all that liquid could fit in the second cup WITH the extra space.”

The Twitter user who posted the first video posted another in which he tried to prove that the glasses were empty.

However, a video posted by another Twitter user using the clear liquid seems to debunk the theory.

However, another video was released by Twitter. user damely He seemed to refute the surprising discovery, using a transparent liquid.

But people weren’t convinced, and some accused her of using different cups.
