The commission explains, “after suddenly seeing his email inbox flooded with hundreds of emails from various websites,” between February 11, 2020, and April 17, 2020. Upon investigation, the commission discovered that these calls were made after a February 11 takedown request on the websites of six companies from an IP address corresponding to a government service. In its statement, the commission expresses its regret that the Digital Interdepartmental Directorate (Dinum) refuses to provide more information to this address.

“It characterizes the intention to hurt and intimidate. The fact that the service or one or more people within it felt free to carry out these types of acts from any IP address, which the government has perfectly identified, says a lot about the feeling of impunity. that prevails in the ranks of the administration”, further evaluated the board.
