The premiere date for Netflix’s brand new horror series The Devil in Ohio has been announced. The limited series, based on true events and adapted from the book of the same name by Daria Polatin, reunites Bones actress Emily Deschanel for another great performance. Author Polarin is also the show’s host, executive producer, and lead writer. The film will be produced by Rachel Miller and Andrew Wilder, Ian Hay and Jadene Stojak Babcock.

What really is the Devil in Ohio? Prior to release, the synopsis and trailer were researched.
Devils in Ohio is a thriller that tells the story of Mae, a young girl seeking safety in the home of psychiatrist, Dr. Suzanne Mathis. However, Mae’s arrival at the house quickly turns the family’s life upside down as she tries to take the life of Jules, Suzanne’s daughter. Jules then discovers that Mae has survived a strange cult in a neighboring town, and that they will do anything to bring Mae back. Here is the official Netflix synopsis for the series:
“When Dr. Suzanne Mathis, a hospital psychiatrist, takes on a fugitive from a mysterious cult, her life is turned upside down when the arrival of an unusual girl threatens to tear her family apart.”
The Devil in Ohio trailer was released by Netflix in August 2022. The trailer introduces the mysterious and dark tones of the series, and we see Suzanne meet Mae and welcome her into her home. . The video also shows the criminal cult from which Mae escaped, and strongly suggests that Mae may have been held as a sacrifice. The teaser also reveals the dangers Suzanne may face once the investigation begins. Furthermore, Mae seems to have a crush on Suzanne and Jules, Suzanne’s children.
When will the series be released?
Devil in Ohio, a Netflix original series, will be released on Friday, September 2, 2022. As a Netflix series, all episodes will be released on the same day. Eight 45-minute episodes will be released.
