Eerie photo shows face emerging from a fire but can you see the Devil or Jesus?

Julie Redman was stunned to discover the resemblance after taking a quick photo of a burning oil drum.

The 52-year-old office manager from Tickenham, Somerset, often photographs the llamas to see what shapes appear.

But no one has caused such a schism.

She said: “It was a bit strange because I could clearly see the face.

“I was fascinated and wanted to know if my friends and family could see it.

“To my great amusement, they were also able to see a face. Some saw the devil, others Jesus, and some thought he looked like a Breaking Bad actor.

“To be honest, I didn’t immediately think of anyone, but the more I did the research, the more it seemed like an interpretation of the devil.

“We were burning some sensitive papers at the time. I am open minded about the supernatural and believe that anything is possible.

“I tend to see faces in all kinds of inanimate objects.

“But logic tells me that this is a trick of the light and the background.

“The strangest thing was other people’s reactions, and a lot of people must feel like it’s the devil.

“I wonder if it’s the firemen’s association and he seems to have a goatee and I have a mustache.”

Julie Redman captured the striking resemblance while disposing of confidential documents.

Seeing faces in inanimate objects is an example of what is known as facial pareidolia.

Psychologists say that this is a sign of a well-wired brain.

Professor Kang Lee of the University of Toronto, who has studied the phenomenon, explains: “Most people think you have to be mentally abnormal to see these images, so people who report on this are often ridiculed. freak.

“But our findings suggest that it’s common for people to see non-existent features because the human brain is uniquely designed to recognize faces, so even when there’s only a slight suggestion of facial features, the brain automatically interprets it as a face.”
