Angus Ion met Arlene Phillips on the set of Freddie Mercury’s music video “I Was Born To Love You” in 1985 and they hit it off immediately. She was the second person the former Strictly Come Dancing judge had a genuine crush on.
The first was her ex-husband Dan Noble, whom she married in 1971: she was 28 years old, and he was only 21 years old. They then continued to cherish 7 years of married life until they were completely out of each other’s lives.
